Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the service, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to them. If you do not agree with any clause, please do not use the service.

2. The service

ProfiScenario is a web-based screenplay editor with real-time collaboration, version history, exports to PDF, Fountain, Word (.docx), Final Draft (.fdx), actor sides, sitcom format, and similar features.

We keep developing the product. Features, limits, and the interface may change. We will give advance notice of material changes to paid features.

3. Your account

You need an account to use the service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password safe. Do not share credentials — use the collaborator invite feature for shared work.

If you notice unauthorized access to your account, please tell us as soon as you can.

4. Plans and billing

The service has a free plan (Free) and a paid one (Pro). Current pricing and feature lists live on /pricing. Pro is billed either monthly or yearly.

New users may start a 7-day free Pro trial without entering a card. Billing does not start automatically when the trial ends — you choose whether to subscribe.

A Pro subscription renews automatically at the chosen cycle until you cancel it from /account. Cancellation stops the next charge; Pro remains active until the end of the current paid period.

Payments are processed by WayForPay. We do not store your card details.

If you qualify as a consumer under Ukrainian or EU law, you may have additional rights (for example, the right to withdraw from a digital service under certain conditions). We act within applicable consumer protection law.

5. Your content stays yours

Screenplays, text, versions, comments, and any other content you create in ProfiScenario remain entirely your intellectual property. We claim no copyright in your work.

To run the service technically, you grant us a limited, royalty-free, non-exclusive, revocable license — solely to store your content, process it, display it to you and the people you have invited, take backups, and produce the exports you request. This license lasts only as long as needed to operate the service and ends when you delete your content (subject to the 30-day recovery window described in the Privacy Policy).

We do not use your content to train machine-learning models, for marketing, for resale to third parties, or for any purpose beyond running the service.

6. Collaboration

You can invite collaborators to projects and assign them roles: owner, editor, commenter, or viewer. You are responsible for the actions of people you invite within your projects and for managing access correctly.

7. Acceptable use

By using the service you agree not to:

• Upload or create unlawful content, or content that infringes third-party rights (copyright, patent, trademark, privacy, etc.).
• Use the service to distribute malware, phishing, spam, fraud, or harassment.
• Try to bypass technical limits, role permissions, or quotas; reverse-engineer the server side.
• Scrape the service through automated means outside of the official APIs/exports.
• Resell, lease, or otherwise commercially exploit access to the service without our written consent.
• Impersonate another person or mislead collaborators about your identity.

8. ProfiScenario intellectual property

The code, design, interface, brand, documentation, and other components of the service are our intellectual property or that of our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers that IP to you — only the limited right to use the service in line with your subscription.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, threaten the security of the service or other users, or if the law requires it. We will give notice where reasonably possible.

You can stop using the service at any time: cancel your subscription (for Pro) and delete your account. Before deletion you can export your screenplays as PDF / Fountain / .docx / .fdx directly in the app.

10. No warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard on reliability, but we do not warrant uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, or that the service will meet any specific need you may have.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProfiScenario is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or reputational harm.

Our total liability for any claims arising out of these Terms or the use of the service is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the event; for the free plan, the equivalent of 100 USD.

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. for intentional misconduct or harm to life and health).

12. Indemnity

You agree to reimburse ProfiScenario for reasonable losses arising from third-party claims connected to your content, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or an in-app banner at least 14 days before they take effect. By continuing to use the service after that date you accept the updated version.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Ukrainian law. Disputes that cannot be resolved by negotiation will be heard by the courts at the place of ProfiScenario's registration, except where mandatory consumer protection laws allow a consumer user to bring proceedings in their place of residence.
